“Drifter” at Amos Rex Museum, Helsinki

Amos Rex is a museum built underground, under domed skylights. The centerpiece of its Studio Drift exhibition was a single concrete monolith, floating silently through the hall.

The block measures several metres on each side. When it passes overhead, the whole room goes quiet — and then everyone takes out their phone.

Our role

We developed and run the flying system: tracking, control and the choreography that lets a massive object move slowly, precisely and safely above an audience.
