Flying Lanterns at Lotte World Adventure

Lotte World Adventure is the world’s largest indoor theme park. Its nightly finale needed something guests had never seen before — and would remember after they left.

We built sixteen custom lanterns, each with individually controlled RGBW lights, and flew them with our SkySpirit 6D platform. Every evening they took a 20-minute journey through the dome, forming pictures and formations as if they were talking to each other.

Built to run for years

The lanterns were synchronised with the parade of animals, actors and figures below. They flew every single day from July 2013 until 2019 — more than 2,000 shows, and proof that a wow effect can also be reliable, day after day.
